I'll try to cover all the ins and outs of gradients in this tutorial but if I miss anything
just email me and include anything I have missed.

First thing is Gradients for PSP are in .jgd format and are stored in PSP's Gradient folder.
There are several places where you can download gradients made by others so at the moment I won't be teaching you
to make your own gradients. I'm only going to teach you the basics on where they are and how to use them.

There are several tools you can use with the gradients.

Text, paint brush, air brush, flood fill, Draw (or line tool)
And Preset shapes (only if you uncheck the retain style button)

Once you have decided on which tool to use Click on the black arrow on the backgroun or foreground styles block to chose Gradient.
note* If you use the text tool this can be changed from the text window when you add text.

Under Styles the 2 boxes have different purposes depending on which tool you have chosen. Text, Draw and preset shapes The upper block is the outline. The lower is the fill.

For all the others Left click will chose the upper Style and Right click will chose the lower.

To chose a gradient click on one of the styles boxes.

Chose a gradient by clicking on the arrow next to the gradient.

chose from this dropdow menu

As you can see there are 4 styles of gradient features you can use.

Angle will slant the gradient.

Repeats is the number of times you want the gadient to repeat.

You can edit a gradient by clicking on the edit button.

highlight the color you want to change (the highlited color is the one with the black tip) then click in the color box pick the color you want from the color picker palet.

This tutorial is a work in progress.
